Caring Hearts Mariabe is a 501c3 nonprofit organization created to improve the lives of children and families in Panama by focusing on education, healthcare, poverty alleviation, and environmental sustainability.  Our EIN # is 92-0820954.

Our History

Caring Hearts Mariabe, Inc. was founded in 2022 after years of grass-roots work to help the community in Mariabe, Panama.   

Panama has one of the highest rates of inequality in the region and the world. The poverty rate is 41.4% in rural areas, such as Mariabe. One out of every two people who are multidimensionally poor is under the age of 18. [Source: United Nations Economic and Social Council Report, 2020] . 

In an effort to create a larger impact and to provide necessary support in the form of food, supplies, medical care, education, and sustainability efforts in Mariabe and other rural communities, Caring Hearts Mariabe was founded. 

Our Impact

Consistent with the motto of Panama, “Pro Mundi Beneficio (Latin),” meaning “For the Benefit of the World,” our goal is to help families in the poorest communities in Panama by providing them with support and resources to help break the cycle of generational poverty.

We believe that every child deserves a chance to succeed, regardless of background or financial situation. Our organization is committed to achieving our goals to help these children access basic necessities so that they may achieve a better future.

Our Team

Our team is made up of dedicated individuals with diverse skills and expertise. Many of our team members have personal connections to Panama and have witnessed first-hand the transformational impact that access to basic resources can have on families and communities. We believe that collaboration is essential to achieving our goals, therefore we work closely with our volunteers to create a lasting impact in the communities we serve. From providing nutritious meals to offering educational support, we are committed to helping children thrive. 

We are constantly learning and growing and remain committed to improving our programs and services to better serve our community.
